Dave Russell is available for interstate travel and clinic bookings across Australia, bringing his practical, down-to-earth approach to horsemanship to groups of all sizes and levels. With experience at some of the country’s most respected events—including Equitana and The Man from Snowy River Festival—Dave has a proven ability to engage both riders and spectators, whether in a small-group setting or a packed-out stadium.

His clinics are built around connection, confidence, and clear communication—offering participants real tools they can take home and apply. From groundwork to ridden work, liberty to obstacles, Dave adapts to meet the needs of the group while staying true to his philosophy: listen to the horse, work with feel, and always aim for progress over perfection.

In addition to travelling clinics, Dave regularly hosts Obstacle Training Days at his home base, Danima Equestrian Centre in Narre Warren North. These fun and educational days are designed to set horses and riders up for success by exposing them to a variety of challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Obstacles include: Custom Water Crossing, Saloon Gates, Bridges, And the dreaded pool noodle walk-through, to name a few.

These sessions are perfect for building trust, improving focus, and helping your horse become more confident and adaptable in all situations—whether you ride for sport, pleasure, or work.
